Improve Your Speed and Running Technique

Without question, the one request I receive other than pitching specific programs is for exercises to improve speed and running technique. If you’ve been following my contributions over the last couple months, I’ve put together a number of downloadable programs with exercise demonstrations and instructions for you to follow. This week, I’ve assembled a running-specific workout program for you to complete on your own.

The program includes a warm up to improve flexibility and core strength as well as running technique drills you will perform each session. I’ve also included an abbreviated leg strength component that can be performed with minimal equipment and space. If you’re already following another strength training program, you will just need to add in the running specific drills.
