My daughter is pitching 4 games a week but needs to be at her best for state tournament. What workout should she do with so many games a week.

Hi Sonya. You neglected to let me know how old your daughter is and what type of conditioning work she does. However, generally speaking, if a young athlete is pitching competitively 4 times a week any further workout, pitching-wise, may do more to break her down than build her up. Recovery is a key component to a young athlete’s ability to stay on the field and perform at the highest level. If she is having a specific mechanical issue, such as not completing her drive through, she can break that specific issue down and perform that movement without even the necessity of throwing the ball. Otherwise, have her go for a nice walk.

Do you mean a pitching workout or a strength workout?
